At Kenya Wine Agencies Limited (KWAL), our Brew a Better World 2030 ambition is guided by HEINEKEN’s BREW a Better World 2030 Sustainability strategy which aims to drive progress towards a net zero, fairer and more balanced world. The strategy focuses on three pillars namely: Environment, Social and Responsible.
We are ambitious about raising the bar on Sustainability & Responsibility. We care deeply about embedding and integrating sustainability in our business operations. We are passionate about what we do and together with our partners, we target to make a difference where we work.
We believe that we can only thrive if our people, planet and the communities around us thrive! Our work therefore, contributes and is aligned with HEINEKEN’s ambition to drive progress towards a net zero, fairer, and more balanced world. Sustainability & responsibility (S&R) is therefore an integral part of how we operate as KWAL business.
In line with HEINEKEN’s Brew Better World 2030 ambition, our Brew a Better World 2030 ambition define Sustainability & Responsibility alongside three pillars namely: Environmental, Social and Responsible.
Environmental pillar expresses our ambition to contribute to the realization of HEINEKEN’s aspirations to drive a Path to Net Zero. The pillar focusses on three components namely: Net Zero Carbon, Maximise Circularity and Towards healthy watersheds & nature. Social pillar focuses on three components namely: Embrace diversity, equity & inclusion, A fair & safe workplace and Positive impact in our communities. Responsible pillar focusses on three areas namely: Always a choice, Address harmful use of alcohol through creating diverse partnerships to address harmful use and make moderation cool.
Sustainability governance at KWAL aligns with HEINEKEN’s approach which creates value and strikes a right balance between short term delivery and long term sustainability, as well as between top-line growth and overall stakeholder long-term value creation. In line with HEINEKEN’s value creation model, KWAL puts growth, profit and capital on equal footing with Sustainability & Responsibility.
