A SPECTACULAR CHAMDOR TOAST FOR WORLD MARATHON RECORD HOLDER ELIUD KIPCHOGE
On Thursday, 27TH September 2018, KWAL, through our leading sparkling juice, Chamdor – was at hand to receive Eliud Kipchoge in the City of Champions and to givea toast in honour of his remarkable performance in Berlin.
Kenya’s Eliud Kipchoge was hosted to a remarkable homecoming in Eldoret town at Eldoret Sports Club. On September 16, 2018 Kipchoge smashed the marathon world record by clocking 2:01:39.
The KWAL Eldoret team was present at the spectacular event and added color and celebration to the occasion through provision of our leading sparkling grape juice – Chamdor. KWAL team was led by Territory Sales Manager Glory Mwatha. The ceremony was also graced by other professional athletes from Eldoret and was hosted by Isuzu Dmax.
Chamdor is a sparkling non-alcoholic drink made from a selection of fine grapes making it a perfect choice of celebration for a non-alcoholic set up. Chamdor uses mainly the Chenin Blanc and Muscat varieties from the vineyards in the Robertson wine district. Only high quality grapes are used for the grape juice and only grapes with high sugar concentration and relatively low acidity are selected. Smooth, sweet and sensational to share!

In 2017, Kipchoge nearly made it to become the first athlete to run under two hours for the marathon by 26 seconds. He timed 2:00:25 but because pacemakers who could swap in and out of the run were used, the time was not recognized as a world record.
