Niël is the head winemaker at Distelland has over 15 years’ experience in wine making. As the lead winemaker, he oversees production of World Leading wine household names such as 4th street wine, Nederburg wine, Durbanville Hills, Fleur du Cap, Drostdy Hof and Alto.
Niel is expected to train and interact with Food and Beverage Managers selected as key KWAL partners from Nairobi and leisure Regions such as Mombasa. This is in the continued and sustained effort to demonstrate thought leadership and industry comment of KWAL as the foremost producer of Wine in the country.
As part of his visit, the winemaker will also coordinate a wine and food pairing event open to the public through purchase of tickets and host journalists and bloggers keen on Lifestyle stories to a wine tasting experience.
KWAL Head of Corporate Affairs Gordon Mutugi noted the following regarding the slated the winemaker’s event; ‘‘We want our partners to experience our rich heritage in the wine making process from grape to glass and also demonstrate the value we offer in our premium brand offering. ’’
